Endure!
ll
Strength my Lord I needed from thee,
as hurtful words were said to me.
And when I boasted both near and far,
my desire to own that shinny new car.
A small job here and another one there,
being broke was very hard to bare.
As a friend I'd try always to impart,
a prayer to lighten each one's heart.
An Elder brother I have one,
a son or daughter I have none.
Trails always come and then they go,
I share each lesson the best I know.
Sickness came and took me home,
no longer on earth do I roam.
Hurtful words I said nothing back,
a shinny new car I did always lack.
Money I never had very much,
but each person's heart I tried to touch.
No children on earth did I have to teach,
through trials there were many souls to reach.
Now I'm in heaven wearing a white gown,
and on my head is a shinny new crown.
